The Term Limits takes place every 2 years. I don't agree with the term limits because its more fair to everyone and every politician would have to go through what Congress went to.
The debate over term limits is an argument about power and representatives making the right decision instead of trying to get reelected. People think that if they had longer terms and a limited amount of terms the politicians would make the right decision for the country instead of trying to get reelected. I think terms should be limited so that the people aren't as focused on getting reelected but instead the well being of the country.
The debate over term limits is whether or not these representatives get to serve a term forever or they should have a certain time to do. This is a debate because not everyone agrees with this process. In my opinion, I think the system is fine the way it is just as long as these representatives are still able to make reasonable decisions and work efficiently.
The debate over Term Limits argues whether people in Congress should have a maximum amount of time to represent or not. This is a debate because there are pros and cons on Term Limits. Some pros are the facts that people can come in and out of Congress, new ideas can be introduced, and people wouldn't be "hogging" seats in the House/Senate. Some cons are the facts that people could grow apathetic and waste away their time in Congress. Also, Congress could lose really great people who make reasonable decision and are very involved because their term is up. Because America is supposed to be based on Democracy, I believe that term limits should be enforced. More people should be able to serve in Congress and the people sitting in the seats should let them have a turn. As for the fear of apathy... People who complain about not having enough time should see that as a motivation to do something in Congress. If someone wants to have no time limit on their power, they should try to become a Supreme Court judge.
The debate over term limits is whether people in congress should have terms because usually when people don't have to worry about getting reelected they do what they think is best not what they should do to get reelected. I think that there should be terms but them be extended so that people can still do what they think is right.
The debate over term limits is about whether people in Congress should be reelected over and over or if there should be a limit. Some people believe there should be a limit, to get new people with new ideas and get rid of people they maybe don't agree with. But others believe a limit would be like limiting our freedom of speech, and our freedom to vote for who we like, no matter what. In my opinion, I don't think a limit is necessary, because if someone is continually reelected, they must be popular, and are doing something right.
There is an ongoing debate over term limits for congress. Many people believe that if there are no limits we can keep in the better congress members instead of kicking them out. But, if is also believed that a congress member who is not in office indefinitely will be more focused on the big issues we're facing today. Personally, I believe that it would be beneficial to have term limits that can bring in new candidates with fresh perspectives that are still actively trying to better the nation.
The debate over the Term limits is a like others debates with two sides. One side says that there shouldn't be a term limit so the good smart people who know what they are doing can stay in there being easily elected again. The other sides is people want them to run for reelection every 2 years so other people have a chance. In my opinion I think this is fine, it gives a better way for people to get their ideas and say in it.
The debate over term limit has gone on for a while. One side does not want them because if a smart person comes in they want to be able to re-elect them as much as they can. Where as the other side thinks that those people should not be in possession of power that long. In my opinion I have to side with the people that don't want them because they have a very good point.
