What are the Bill of Rights?  Why are they important?  Why is it important that people know the Bill of Rights?

  2. The Bill of Rights are there to show people that there are things you can can do but there are others things you are able to have yourself. Also, mainly all criminal-law rights apply to all federal and state governments.

  3. The Bill of Rights are a set of basic freedoms such as speech,press,assembly,and religion. It is important to have the Bill of Rights because they are things that all people should have. It is important for people to know the Bill of Rights so as to not overstep what they are allowed to do and it makes that individual a more informed person who knows about our government and that is important.

  4. The Bill of Rights is a list of 10 amendments at the beginning of the Constitution. Important because they give people there rights. It is important because it outlines a lot of your rights when it comes to being incarcerated.

  5. The Bill of Rights are written laws regarding the freedoms citizens are reserved such as the right to a speedy trial by jury and the right to bear arms. These outline freedoms people have and if they aren't informed they may be doing something that is not required. Being informed is part of every american's jobs and their is no point in having a right if you don't even know about it.

  6. The Bill of Rights are the 1st through the 10th Amendments drafted by James Madison protecting basic rights that American citizens are allowed to have. The Bill of Rights is important because it states rights for incarceration and rights that can't be taken away from any American citizen.

  7. The Bill of Rights is simply the first ten amendments of the Constitution. The reason the first ten are important is because they have to do with important rules for the people to protect them and give them you know rights. It's important to know them for one you look smart and two it's a way to defend your self from being put in prison/jail when you know you didn't do anything.

They protect the way of life of American citizens from an overpowering federal government. If we stop remembering them then the federal government can get away with crossing those lines set by the Bill of Rights.

They are important to keep people's basic rights in place, and it is important for people to know them so they know their own rights and won't be taken advantage of.
